Contemporary Latin American Language and Culture

This course is designed for students with a B level of Spanish (using the European framework). It is an introduction to the main cultural Latin-American topics and it aims at developing the four communicative skills in the language (speaking, listening, reading and writing). The topics will include native groups, legends and traditions, politics and democracy, ecology and tourism, gastronomy and music while focusing on grammatical and lexical aspects of the language.

LENGUA Y CULTURA CONTEMPORÁNEAS LATINOAMERICANAS (SEMINARIO CENTRAL OBLIGATORIO)3 horas semanales

El enfoque de este curso, pensado para estudiantes de español como lengua extranjera que hayan adquirido un nivel B, es, por un lado, la introducción a algunos temas culturales latinoamericanos y, por el otro, el desarrollo de las cuatro habilidades comunicativas en español (habla, audición, lectura y escritura). Los temas que se tratarán son: pueblos originarios, tradiciones y leyendas, política y democracia, ecología y turismo, gastronomía y música latinoamericanas, entre otros. El curso también abordará cuestiones tanto gramaticales como léxicas. Además, se desarrollarán estrategias para la redacción y la comunicación oral.
